This week just keeps getting better and better!!!

Tonight on Countdown with Keith Olbermann, the "#1 Newsmaker of the Day" was the horse that finished dead last in the second race at Churchill Downs on Tuesday-yes, Election Day. The unlucky nag was named...ROVE!!! Excuse me for just a second...

WOOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Okay, I'm done.

Bush lunches, meets in Oval with Speaker Pelosi (OMG, I LOVE the sound of that!)

The Lioness of San Francisco had her first postelection meeting with Dubya at the White House today. Crooks and Liars has the story and video.

Here's a link to Yahoo! News' story about the meeting. My favorite excerpts:

"When you win, you have a responsibility to do the best you can for the country," Bush said, with Vice President Dick Cheney sitting glumly on a couch to his left.(emphasis mine)

Oh BABY!!! Life is GOOD!!!

[Bush continued,] "We won't agree on every issue, but we do agree that we love America."

Yeah! Take THAT, Hannity!

Ed Bradley (1941-2006)

WVLT-TV, the CBS affiliate here in Knoxville, reported his death on tonight's 6 pm news. In addition to his quarter-century stint as a correspondent for 60 Minutes, Bradley broke racial barriers at CBS as a war correspondent, White House correspondent, and Sunday-night news anchor.

I feel like Stephen Colbert--"I CALLED IT!!!"

Jim Webb has been declared the victor over George "Macaca" Allen in Virginia, officially giving the D's the sixth seat they needed to retake the Senate.

The Big Blue's recapture of the upper chamber happened pretty much the way I thought it would on election night: Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Missouri, Montana, and finally, Virginia. (Don't get me wrong; as a Tennessee Dem I've got nothing but love for Harold Ford, Jr., but by Monday even I could see the writing on the wall.)

And so-with apologies to Mr. Colbert-"I CALLED IT!!!"

Move over, Karl baby...

there's a new political genius in D.C. and his name is Howard Dean, MD!!!

We won in Rhode Island! We won in New Hampshire! We won in Pennsylvania! We won in Virginia! We won in Ohio! We won in Missouri! We won in Kansas! We won in Texas! We won in Colorado! We won in Arizona! We won in Montana...and in 2008 we're gonna win the WHITE HOUSE!!! YYYEEEAAAHHH!!!
