SOTU 2007: Postgame

Sorry folks, my connection went down at about 9:40 pm, so I wasn't able to liveblog the State of the Union after all. Instead, I've taken my cue from the News Hounds and provided a link to the text of the speech, courtesy of ThinkProgress.

Adventures in Liveblogging: SOTU 2007, Pregame

Chris Matthews and the Hardball panel just compared George W. Bush to Wile E. Coyote, to which I can only add, "Beep, beep!" ;-)

Adventures in Liveblogging: State of the Union 2007

In just under 90 minutes President Bush will fulfill his responsibility under Artivle 2, Section 3a of the Constitution. I'll be watching it all, including the Democratic response delivered by Sen. Jim Webb, and liveblogging here at ICFPB.

It's official: Bears vs. Colts in Super Bowl XLI

Should be a good one...

A political junkie's dream weekend in review

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and my man Gov. Bill Richardson both launched Presidential exploratory committees this weekend, joining Sens. Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, and Barack Obama; former Sens. John Edwards and Mike Gravel (???); current Rep. Dennis Kucinich; and former Gov. Tom Vilsack in the '08 Democratic primary field.

Two more years...

until the inauguration of a Democratic President! This morning, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) began her quest to be that President by announcing the formation of an exploratory committee. Meanwhiile, on the GOP side, Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS) announced, complete with an absurdly bad, eye-roll-inducing Wizard of Oz reference, his campaign to potentially lose to whomever the Democrats nominate next year.

I'll be back tomorrow with a wrap-up of all this weekend's political happenings, incliding Gov. Bill Richardson's announcement of his own exploratory committee on ABC's This Week.
